Francis Hébert
President, Founding Partner
Francis Hébert co-founded Consult & Grow in 2017 and has over 15 years of experience in the cannabis industry. After the adoption of the ACMPR (Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations) in 2016, Francis opened one of the first cannabis clinics in Quebec, which then became a cannabis education centre for thousands of patients wishing to access medical cannabis.
In addition to assuming the role of President of C&G, Francis is a master grower with a deep understanding of the critical success factors for cultivating cannabis while remaining compliant with Canadian regulations. He has strong technical skills in GPP and GMP, and in the implementation of building designs. Francis works with engineers, architects, laboratories, safety experts, and equipment technicians to build efficient facilities.
As an experienced master grower and nurseryman, Francis is highly skilled in sourcing genetics for indoor and outdoor cultivation. In 2017 and 2018, Francis received certification for Cannabinoids in Clinic Practice from the University of Toronto. In addition, he studied business administration and common law before working as an ACMPR consultant.
David Selema
Managing Director, Founding Partner
David has over 10 years of experience managing all aspects of an enterprise. Particularly, marketing, sales strategy, business development and internal process improvement. With the establishment of the ACMPR, David became general manager of a cannabis clinic in Quebec, helping thousands of patients. Prior to co-founding Consult & Grow in 2017, David was Sales Director for a private energy supply company and led a sales team to successfully expand market share in Quebec and Ontario.
He is currently responsible for defining the scope of new projects and ensuring that our clients find the best solutions that match their needs. David understands good manufacturing practices and what is needed to sell medical cannabis in global markets. He also manages the operations of our medical cannabis clinic, Coverleaf.ca, which has a database of nearly 10,000 patients. David studied business at a college in France.
Huu Phu Nguyen
Director of Legal Affairs, Lawyer, LLB, MBA
Huu Phu has over 7 years of experience in commercial law and is one of Canada’s leading legal experts in cannabis law. He has successfully managed dozens of cannabis license applications and guided clients who develop cannabis products and finished products. Huu Phu has extensive knowledge of regulations, standard operating procedures, packaging and labelling compliance, and a never-ending passion for the cannabis industry.
Huu Phu holds an MBA and a law degree, and serves as a head of the board on numerous corporate and charitable foundations.
With his legal and professional experience as well as his deep understanding of the business, Huu Phu Nguyen is an excellent strategist and enables his clients to position themselves according to the best standards in the industry
Angelo Servedio
Cannabis Processing Specialist
Angelo joins Consult & Grow with over 15 years of experience as an industry pioneer and specialist in cannabis extraction.
Angelo studied biochemistry through practical experience. He is recognized by the Canadian Cannabis Award and the Karma Cup for his talents in formulating cannabinoids to achieve specific results. Angelo has a strong track record of success in this industry, an entrepreneurial instinct, and extensive knowledge of product formulations such as vapes, capsules, soft gels, concentrates, edibles and much more.
In addition to his project management and cannabis processing skills, Angelo’s strengths include his talent for recruiting, negotiation, and exceptional communication skills.
Geraldine Origel
Project Manager and Quality Assurance Specialist
A food scientist and regulatory affairs specialist, Geraldine has years of experience in large-scale cannabis facilities.
She specializes in creating standard operating procedures, preventive control plans, internal audits and ensuring their compliance with regulations. She is GACP (Good Agricultural Collection Practices) certified and masters HACCP, GMP, SQF and ISO quality standards. Furthermore, she has participated in the development of several food and cannabis products, ensuring compliance from the R&D phase to the packaging, labelling and distribution phase. Geraldine has extensive knowledge of the cannabis license authorization process, regulatory amendments and audits.
She is extremely familiar with the challenges of cannabis license applications and will help you create a comprehensive and concise application.
Dhili Nakeeran
Senior Consultant
Dhili joined the Consult & Grow team in early 2019. With over 10 years of marketing and sales experience, Dhili was previously Sales Director for a Montreal-based technology company with operations across Canada, the United States and Europe. He has extensive experience in expanding distribution channels, having successfully negotiated product placement and distribution with over 7 renown big box retailers in Canada and the United States.
Having also owned multiple businesses, Dhili has an undying entrepreneurial spirit and understands the hurdles in creating a new enterprise. Having dived head first into the cannabis industry, Dhili will support your team in the early stages of planning your project. With great attention to detail to ensure your needs are met, it will be his job to inform you and your team of your responsibilities and the costs associated with your business and help you make the right decisions to increase your chances of future success in this industry
